Start sailing at age 7 on Optimist but after just a few regattas switched to Cadet class on which he raced on several European championships. After this episode he started to sail on Fireball class which he sails till present time. During this time he also tried plenty other classes like Melges 24, Devoti 1, 29er, 420 and others whit few acchievments on national level. At the age of 18 he started his coaching career and was part of the team which re-started training program in one sailing club. He trained many sailors on Optimist which than achieved several good results in their careers. He also trained handicapped people and adults with no sailing experience. Many of them than started to race. He is also involved in Czech sailing association as a member of the board and is chairman of one of the most successful sailing clubs in Czech Republic.
